Our Commitment to the Armed Forces

We commit to honour the Armed Forces Covenant and support the Armed Forces Community. We recognise the value Serving Personnel, both Regular and Reservists, Veterans and military families contribute to our business and our country.

Our Deep Ties to those who Protect Us

Cambridge Management Consulting is proud to sign the Armed Forces Covenant. At Cambridge MC, 23% of our employees currently have close family members who have served in the UK Armed Forces, and 45% have had or do have family members serving globally in the Armed Forces. Thus, this pledge reflects our strong ties to the military through our staff, families, and client work. We honour the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces and their families, ensuring they receive the respect, support, and fair treatment they deserve.

We believe in a societal obligation to support those who serve, have served, and their families, ensuring they face no disadvantage. Our commitment aligns with the spirit of the Covenant, uniting the nation in recognising and valuing the contributions of military personnel and their families.

Employing & Supporting

Veterans

Veterans have gained valuable skills and experience during their service and have a strong attitude to work and delivering results.  We are keen to recruit veterans as part of our growing team.

We are currently in the process of creating a company-wide network that will organise events and support our ex-military partners and associates, as well as our family members and friends who have served or are in active service. Steven Boyd MBE, a British Army veteran and one of our non-executive advisors, will oversee this programme.

We welcome the skills, experience, attitude and values that veterans bring to our company.

OUR PEOPLE

Our

Pledge

We pledge to promote the Armed Forces and the fact that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation, to our staff, customers, suppliers, contractors and wider public. This involves these practices:

  • Veterans: supporting the employment of veterans and recognising military skills and qualifications in our recruitment and selection process, including working with the Career Transition Partnership

  • Reserves: supporting our employees who are members of the Reserve Forces and actively encouraging members of staff to become Reservists

  • Cadet Organisations: supporting our employees who are volunteer leaders in military cadet organisations; supporting local military cadet units; and recognising the benefits of employing cadets/ex-cadets within the workforce

  • Service Spouses & Partners: supporting the employment of Service spouses and partners. This includes partnering with the Forces Families Jobs Forum.

  • National Events: supporting Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance activities
