Chief of Staff
Naaz has over 25 years' experience in the submarine cable & telecom industries. Starting as an events coordinator for companies like Gillette and Flag Telecom, she advanced through her role at Seaborn Networks and then founded Team Bax where she worked with companies such as EdgeUno and Connectbase. Naaz promotes diversity & inclusion in telecoms and subsea communities. She also chairs the Pacific Telecommunications Council Advisory Council, serves on the Women in World Trade New England Board, is active in SubOptic's DIB Committee, PTC Beyond, and co-founded 'The Women in Subsea' movement.
Digital Infrastructure
Andy Bax has over 30 years of experience in telecommunications, specialising in digital infrastructure and submarine networks. He has contributed to the development of over 260,000 km of global networks, improving connectivity in underserved areas. Starting at FLAG Telecom, he managed the FEA Submarine System and later led submarine network upgrades at Global Crossing. In 2007, he oversaw a 1,240 km submarine cable project linking Trinidad, Guyana, and Suriname. As COO and CSO at EdgeUno, Andy focuses on sustainable growth, emphasising the importance of people in achieving success in the digital infrastructure sector.
Energy & Carbon
Pete started his career over 23 years ago working for Southern Gas within their operations team and since then has built a deep understanding of the Energy and Carbon sector having held senior roles in operations, commodity trading and portfolio management.
Procurement & Commercial
Andy brings nearly 25 years of telecommunications experience, specialising in network-related procurement at the executive level. His expertise includes supplier relationship management, managing significant tenders, negotiating commercial agreements, and asset management.
Subsea Expert
With a career spanning over 15 years, multiple senior and executive roles, and various industries including education technology, telecommunications, and esports, Ben has a wealth of strategic and architectural expertise and a track record for driving significant innovations in network infrastructure and gaming platforms.
Subsea Infrastructure
Julian is a telecommunications expert focused on growth in emerging markets. Fluent in Russian, he has worked with British Petroleum and Chevron in post-Soviet regions. He joined Cable & Wireless in 1995 to develop local network strategies and later managed the submarine fibre-optic division at Pioneer Consulting. He has a strong reputation for assisting start-up submarine cable projects with funding and investor attraction.
Subsea Expert
Paul has over 30 years of experience, in developing and implementing subsea and terrestrial networks across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He possesses hands-on technical expertise in all aspects of network builds, from initial design to leading project delivery teams and operations management. As a veteran in the industry, Paul has introduced transformative and sustainable connectivity to regions that previously faced challenges in non-competitive environments.
